Just Go With It

One of the major accomplishments by Allan Loeb, the writer of Just Go With It is that he was able to make Jennifer Aniston funny for the first time since Season 7 of Friends.

Aniston's character plays an assistant to Danny, a plastic surgeon played by Adam Sandler. Danny meets and falls in love with Palmer (who is played by the beautiful Brooklyn Decker). After Palmer finds "a circle" aka a wedding ring in Danny's pocket he has to come up with a story that hides the fact that he wears a fake wedding ring to attract women. The doctor decides to tell Palmer that he is getting a divorce from his fictional wife. When she decides she wants to hear it from the former bride Danny begs his assistant Katherine to play the part.

Confused? Well this is an Adam Sandler movie, so you don't really need to follow the story.

The usual cast of characters makes an appearance in this Happy Madison production. Apparently new to that group is national sports talk radio host Dan Patrick. There were quite a few cameo's throughout the movie that will catch you by surprise, but trust me when I say they save the most funny for the very end.

One of the most surprising aspects of this movie to me was impressive acting by Decker. I figured that the highlight of her reel would be the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from last season. But as it turns out being hot is not her only talent. The girl can act. She is going to have a long acting career, people will see whatever she is in because of her looks, but they will leave being impressed by her skills as an actor.

Beautiful people, and a beautiful setting makes for a pretty impressive movie. For the second straight review this movie isn't going to be confused for an Oscar favorite but for the second straight week it is certainly worth checking out.
